How Long Have You Been Putting Up With This?

Your property should run itself — not run your schedule.

Your crew doesn't show up.

No call. No text. No accountability.

You're managing the people you hired.

Different crew every visit. Nobody remembers what you asked for.

Your property looks "fine" — but fine isn't what you want.

You wanted dialed in. Not a quick pass with a mower every once in a while.

Your Landscape Is One Piece of the Property

Most of our Complete Landscape clients eventually ask the same question — can we handle the rest of the property too? The pool service, the AC coordination, the window cleaning, the vendors running in and out all month. The answer is yes. Our Property Management programs integrate your landscape service with full home oversight, so one team handles the grounds, the house, and the vendors. One point of contact. One invoice. Zero coordination on your end.

Available as add-ons to any weekly maintenance plan.

Fine Gardening

Hand-pruned. Shears over power tools.

Most landscape crews blow through your property with hedge trimmers and blowers. Fine gardening is the opposite — selective plant shaping, hand pruning, and detailed attention to every bed, hedge, and ornamental on your property. The result is a truly handcrafted landscape that looks intentional, not just maintained.

  • Hand pruning with shears — no power hedge trimmers
  • Selective shaping of ornamentals, hedges, and accent plants
  • Detailed bed edging and plant health monitoring
  • Seasonal color guidance and planting

Reel Mowing

The clean cut your grass was bred for.

Reel mowed lawn with stripes at oceanfront property in South Florida

Our month-by-month South Florida lawn care calendar shows exactly when each seasonal task should happen. Reel mowing cuts with a scissor-like action instead of tearing — giving you a tighter, cleaner finish that promotes healthier growth. If your property has a premium turf variety, reel mowing is how you bring out its full potential.

Zoysia varieties we reel cut: Diamond, CitraZoy, Empire, Cashmere, ICON, Trinity, and Zeon.

Seashore Paspalum: Supreme Seashore Paspalum and Platinum TE Seashore Paspalum — the most popular choices in Southeast Florida.

Bermuda varieties: Celebration, Bimini, TifTuf, and Celebration Hybrid.

Put the Irrigation Tune-Up on the Late-Spring Calendar

Wet-season watering is a different program than dry-season, and a system left untouched is the most common cause of summer fungus and shallow roots. Here’s the pre-rainy-season irrigation tune-up that belongs in the maintenance rhythm every May and June.

Hurricane Prep Belongs on the Maintenance Calendar

Storm season opens June 1. The palm, irrigation, and debris work that protects a South Florida property has to be built into the spring maintenance rhythm — not bolted on the week a named storm forms. Here’s the field checklist we run every May.

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering

It depends on your property. Every plan starts with the basics — mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and hedge maintenance. From there we layer in what your property actually needs: turf health monitoring, plant care, mulch and bed work, irrigation management, lighting maintenance, vendor coordination, even emergency response. We walk the property first, then build a plan around what makes sense for you — not a one-size-fits-all package. Call 561-886-7982 and we'll put one together.
We do — and Lighthouse Point is one of our fastest-growing service areas. A lot of the properties have tighter footprints, which means more attention to detail is required, not less. We offer weekly and biweekly lawn maintenance, reel mowing, landscape care, and full property management across Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Pompano Beach.
Because smaller lots mean less revenue per stop for most volume-based companies. They'd rather mow a half-acre in Boca than spend time on a tighter Lighthouse Point property. We see it differently — smaller spaces demand more precision, and the homeowners who live there tend to care more about quality. That's exactly the kind of client we want to work with.
We offer reel mowing for Zoysia, Paspalum, and Bermuda lawns across Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Lighthouse Point, and Pompano Beach. It's built into any weekly maintenance plan. Reel mowing delivers that golf-course-quality cut — clean, precise, and striped. If your lawn has Diamond Zoysia, CitraZoy, Bimini Bermuda, or Seashore Paspalum, reel mowing is how you get the most out of it.
Most lawn companies are focused on volume — how many stops they can hit in a day. We focus on depth. Owner Jorden Ross personally oversees every property. We don't chase new accounts at the expense of existing clients. We communicate proactively. And we build turf and landscape programs from the soil up, not just mow and go. Third-generation South Florida family, 17+ years, 5.0 on Google.
We're honest — we're not perfect, and neither is South Florida's climate. Pests pop up. Some years are worse than others. The difference is how fast you respond and how well you adapt. We monitor for early signs, adjust treatments as conditions change, and focus on recovery as quickly as possible. A healthy maintenance program built from the soil up gives your lawn the best chance to bounce back.
Yes — and it's a crucial part of any maintenance program. The right fertilization schedule, targeted weed control, and proactive pest management are what separate a lawn that survives from one that thrives. We build custom programs based on your grass type, soil conditions, and property environment. When we can, we take an organic approach — healthier for your lawn, your family, and the environment. Call 561-886-7982 to discuss what your property needs.
We do — fine gardening is available as a premium add-on to any weekly maintenance plan. This means hand pruning with shears instead of machine trimming, detailed bed work, selective plant shaping, and the kind of attention that takes more time but produces a noticeably different result. It's for homeowners who want a crafted landscape, not just a maintained one. Available across Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Lighthouse Point, and Pompano Beach.

High-Detail Gardening: The Hand Pruning Difference

Hand pruning and hand shearing is the difference between a yard that's maintained and a garden that's cared for. For Florida Boys clients with high-detail landscapes, hand work is part of how we deliver country-club-quality outcomes on specialty plant material.

Does Florida Boys offer hand pruning and hand shearing on landscape plants?

Yes. For high-detail gardening, hand pruning with hand shears produces the cleanest cuts and the best new growth from plant material. We use hand shears on Green Island Ficus, Japanese Blueberries, Bougainvilleas, Allamandas, topiaries, vine work, and a wide range of specialty ornamental plantings. The technique takes significantly more time than machine trimming, but the outcome is noticeable — denser regrowth, better blooming, and cleaner plant architecture. When budget allows, hand pruning is the upgrade that separates good gardens from exceptional ones.

What plants benefit most from hand pruning vs machine trimming?

Plants that respond best to hand pruning are those grown for blooming, density, or detailed shape: Green Island Ficus (especially when used as a hedge or topiary), Japanese Blueberries, Bougainvilleas (which bloom on new growth — machine trimming cuts off the flower buds), Allamandas, formal topiaries, and any vine work. Machine trimming damages individual leaves and stems on these plants, leaving brown edges and inconsistent regrowth. Hand pruning cuts each branch cleanly at the right location for optimal new growth and blooming.

Why does hand pruning cost more than machine trimming?

Hand pruning takes significantly more time — sometimes three to five times longer than machine work. You're cutting one branch at a time, evaluating each plant's structure, and making individual decisions about where to cut for the best regrowth. The result is noticeably better: cleaner cuts, denser regrowth, better blooming, and longer-lasting plant health. For clients with high-detail gardens who want the best outcome, the time investment is worth it. We genuinely love it when clients prioritize this work — it's where landscape maintenance becomes craft.

Organic Weed Killer & Organic Fertilization

For Florida Boys clients who want organic options in family-use areas of their property, we offer an organic spot spray weed killer for hardscapes and access to organic fertilization and pest control through a trusted partner.

Does Florida Boys offer organic weed killer?

Yes. We offer an organic spot spray weed killer for use around pavers, patios, walkways, and family gathering areas. Our organic mixture is made from salt, vinegar, and a surfactant — safe for spaces where families, pets, and guests spend time. The trade-offs: it's substantially more expensive than traditional herbicides because the application is time-consuming, it doesn't last as long on all weeds, and it cannot be used in grass. We only offer this option in Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach.

What's in Florida Boys' organic weed spray?

A mixture of salt, vinegar, and a surfactant. No synthetic herbicides. The salt and vinegar damage the weed; the surfactant helps the solution stick to the plant for effective contact. The trade-off versus chemical herbicides: the organic mixture works on contact (no systemic kill), needs more frequent re-application, and cannot be sprayed on lawn grass without killing the grass. Best used on patios, paver joints, walkways, driveways, and areas around your home where chemical herbicides aren't ideal.

Where can Florida Boys' organic weed killer be safely used?

On hardscapes only — paver joints, patios, walkways, driveways, garden bed edges, and areas adjacent to family gathering spaces. It cannot be sprayed on grass (it will kill the lawn). Ideal for homeowners with kids, pets, or anyone who wants chemical-free spot weed control in the spaces where the family actually spends time. We offer this service in Lighthouse Point, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach.

Does Florida Boys offer organic fertilization and pest control?

Yes — through a trusted partner ornamental fertilization and pest control company who will go to great lengths to provide fully organic or mostly organic programs when applicable. Organic options are substantially more expensive than synthetic alternatives and aren't always equally robust against every pest or condition. There are times throughout the year when certain pests breed heavily or plants are blooming, and synthetic products may still be needed to protect the property. We're transparent about when organic works and when synthetic intervention is the right call.
