Landscape & Property Care in Highland Beach

Highland Beach sits on a narrow stretch of barrier island between Boca Raton and Delray Beach, with the Atlantic on one side of A1A and the Intracoastal on the other. It's a beautiful setting and a hard one on a landscape: salt spray, steady wind and sandy soil. We care for Highland Beach homes from the same route that serves East Boca, Delray and Gulf Stream, so the same crew shows up on the same day, every visit.

Island Living, Handled by One Team

Most Highland Beach homes sit directly on the ocean or the Intracoastal, and many owners split the year between here and somewhere else. That's where things slip: a zone that stops watering in July, lights that go dark after a storm, palms loaded with coconuts in August. We keep the lawn, beds, irrigation, lighting and palms on one schedule with one point of contact, and we tell you what we see before it turns into a bigger job. Our reel mowing and natural turfgrass programs keep paspalum and zoysia tight and dense right up to the dune line.

Ocean Side and Intracoastal Side Need Different Care

On a barrier island, two homes a few hundred feet apart can need completely different plant material, watering and maintenance.

Ocean-facing lots

Direct salt spray, wind and sandy soil

  • Salt-tolerant plant material: sea grape, cocoplum, silver buttonwood and coconut palms
  • Seashore paspalum turf, which handles salt better than most grasses
  • Irrigation set by exposure, with heads checked for salt and sand wear
  • Lighting fixtures and connections chosen to resist corrosion

Intracoastal-side lots

More shelter, docks and seawall beds

  • A wider plant palette in the more sheltered beds
  • Seawall and dock-side beds kept clean and trimmed
  • Lighting that shows off the water at night without glare toward neighbors
  • Zoysia and St. Augustine lawns kept at a tight, even height

Where we work

Highland Beach, area by area

Highland Beach is its own town in Palm Beach County, served from the same route as East Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Gulf Stream. Along its stretch of A1A, the difference that matters most is whether a lot faces the ocean or the Intracoastal.

Neighborhood names describe where we work. They are not HOA endorsements or community-wide contracts, and availability depends on the property, the service, and the scope.

Most clients first call us about one thing: a lawn that isn't right, or lights that stopped working. Once they see how we communicate, show up and follow through, they hand us the rest of the landscape. That's how most of our Signature Estate relationships start.

Common Questions About Our Service in Highland Beach

Weekly and biweekly lawn and landscape maintenance, landscape design and installation, sod and grading, landscape lighting, irrigation troubleshooting and repairs, natural turfgrass care with reel mowing, palm trimming, pressure washing and window cleaning. You get one point of contact for all of it and the same crew on every visit.
Plants that tolerate salt spray and wind: sea grape, cocoplum, silver buttonwood, coconut and sabal palms, and beach-adapted groundcovers. For lawns, seashore paspalum handles salt better than most turfgrasses. On the Intracoastal side, the beds are usually more sheltered, so the plant palette opens up. We match plant material to each part of the lot rather than using one list for the whole property.
Yes. Your visits stay on schedule whether you're here or not. We check irrigation, lighting and palms as part of the routine, send photo updates, handle landscape storm prep and walk the property after a storm. If something needs your approval, you get a text with the situation, the fix and the price.

Before the season, palms are cleared of coconuts, seed pods and loose fronds, and we flag trees or plantings that could become a problem in high wind. When a storm is forecast, we handle landscape prep on the property. After it passes, we walk the property, clear debris, check irrigation and lighting, and send you a status update with photos.
